About PYC
We’re a small team with big hearts, bigger smiles, and probably too much sand between our toes. Born from one sailor’s obsession with the sea (and an uncanny ability to talk about boats for hours), the company was launched by Pierre with one goal: to share the Caribbean the way we see it: tropical, colorful and completely unforgettable. It’s paradise!
We’re not a corporate giant with fancy polos and scripted greetings. We’re island folks who love the ocean, love this island, and genuinely want you to fall head over flip-flops for it too. Think of us as your laid-back guides to the good life. The kind who know the best snorkeling spots, secret beaches, and where to get a killer rum punch after a day on the water. We’re the kind of crew where everyone brings their own spark, and somehow, when we all come together, it just works. Like rum and coconut. Like sun and SPF. Like a catamaran and a perfect Caribbean breeze.

Meet the crew who make your dream Caribbean escape smooth sailing and full of laughs. These salty sea legends are part tour guide, part entertainer, part gourmet chef and 100% dedicated to making sure you have the time of your life (with just the right amount of rum punch). Whether they’re hoisting sails, mixing delicious cocktails, or telling suspiciously exaggerated stories about “the one that got away,” our crew brings the perfect mix of island charm, expert seamanship, and good-natured mischief. Trust us, you’re in excellent (and slightly sun-kissed) hands.
Pierre
Company Owner
Pierre is the founder of Private Yacht Charter. He established the company in 2006, driven by his deep passion for sailing. Though he has taken a step back in recent years, his dedication and vision remain at the heart of the business.

General Manager
Chantal is the general manager at PYC, who has been steering the company for 9 years already, ensuring everything runs seamlessly. As your primary point of contact, she will assist you with a smile, making your experience smooth and enjoyable.

Office Assistant & Stew
Marion is our bubbly French gem. After working as a chief stewardess on superyachts, she made St. Maarten her home in 2021. Quick on her feet and always smiling, she mainly supports Chantal in the office, but you might also spot her on board, her true happy place, making sure every guest has an unforgettable time.

Captain
Meet Charlie, the captain on Mojito! Born and raised in Grenada with saltwater in his veins, thanks to a fisherman grandpa and a boat-builder dad. With over 30 years of experience in Sint Maarten, he’s a well-known and trusted captain in the boating world. Off the clock, he’s all about family time and casting a line. If you’re lucky, he might reel in your lunch during your charter!

Stew
Jernel is born in Dominica, raised in St. Martin since she was 11, and passionate about all things sea and island life. With over 11 years in the maritime world, she knows all the hidden gems and local secrets. Her warm, welcoming vibe (especially with kids!) makes everyone feel right at home. Whether you’re here to chill or explore, Jernel is all about making your time on board fun, and unforgettable.

Captain
Originally from Brittany, France, Thom has been sailing since the age of five and turned his lifelong passion for the ocean into a career. With three Atlantic crossings, a Pacific crossing to Tahiti, and extensive sailing throughout the Caribbean and beyond, he brings a wealth of experience onboard while focusing on safety, good times, and unforgettable experiences at sea.

Originally from Amsterdam, Devika her love for travel, food and hospitality brought her to Sint Maarten. With a background in restaurant management, she loves creating a welcoming atmosphere and sharing the island’s food scene and hidden gems with guests.
